Large Item Garbage Collection

Large Item Collection

Beaver Municipal Solutions bi-annual large item program is provided at no charge to municipal residents.

Items are required to be placed on the front street by the curb at least 3ft from parked vehicles (items must be placed on the street - not on grass or boulevard). If items are placed on boulevard, they will not be picked up.

Any Freon products such as freezers, fridges, water coolers, etc. must be identified with a BMS sticker in order to be picked up. The Town Office will be provided with stickers from BMS and will be responsible to collect payment and issue stickers to residents.

The Town is then responsible to provide the Supervisor of Collection and Transportation of BMS with addresses in which they have issued stickers for.

Unacceptable Items:

Items that will not be accepted are: Grass clippings, trees, tree branches, large chunks or amounts of cement, regular household bags of garbage, small wooden items that would fit into a garbage bin (little dresser, foot stool, etc.), and electronic waste. These items are accepted at the Ryley landfill, Lindbrook Transfer Station or Viking Transfer Station at anytime.

Acceptable Items:

Acceptable items include: Mattresses, couches, recliners, white goods (appliances), tires, and propane tanks (these items are also acceptable at the Ryley landfill or Transfer Stations at anytime).

Residents will be responsible to place their large items on the front street the evening prior to the municipalities date as listed in the Large Item Collection Schedule. BMS will be collecting large items in each town with a multi-lift and skid steer.

Freon products must have a BMS sticker visible in order to be collected. Residents are required to pay at either the Town Office or at the BMS Office in order to obtain their sticker.

BMS will continue to pick up items until each municipality is complete. Please be advised that each municipality may take a couple days.
